fill 'er up.

yesterday i went to see Gio (the nurse at the weight loss surgery center) for a follow up and to get my very first fill.

Gio rocks. he "coached" me yesterday, giving me very solid and realistic advice and encouragement. i really needed that. perhaps i should have gone at week five instead of week eight.

everything is good. even lost two pounds from yesterday. feel more relaxed about what i should eat and when.

not sure if i mentioned this before but i'm down from a size 22W (which was a bit snug) to a size 18 missies. i still wear some of the larger pants and tops. i found my old belts and wear them with the pants until i fit into all the size 16 and 14 clothes that i have stashed in an old suitcase.

my goal is to get down to -43 by dec 31, 2008.

oh and did i also mention (probably not) that when i had my BP checked at the immediate care center, it was normal. unmedicated. and normal. how cool is that?

i have an appt with my internist nov 21st and i look forward to having the bloodwork done to see where my numbers are at.

yesterday was fluids only and today is mushy only. i had a little scrambled egg for breakfast. Gio says i should have something for breakfast even if it isn't my thing. i plan to have soup for lunch and a protein drink for afternoon snack. i'll grab a couple of bananas from the fruit stand at work for additional mushy snacks. Gio says i should eat every 3 hours. well i'll try to remember. *eye roll*
